Dave Shaffer is Co-Founder and Head of Product at Pipe17, where he leads product strategy and architects the managed connector network behind Pipe17’s Order Operations Platform. Since co-founding Pipe17 in 2019, Dave has shaped how mid-market and enterprise brands and high-volume 3PLs connect and orchestrate orders, inventory, and fulfillment across every channel, ERP, WMS, and 3PL in their stack.
Dave brings more than 30 years of enterprise software and integration architecture experience to Pipe17. He was previously VP of Solution Architecture at Workato, where he led the Logitech rollout that put 80 production integrations and 1M transactions per day live in 9 weeks. Before that, he was VP of Product Management at Oracle for its Integration, SOA, EDI, BPM and Governance portfolio, a $1B+ product line he joined through Oracle’s 2004 acquisition of Collaxa, the start-up behind the original BPEL engine. Earlier in his career, Dave held leadership positions in Solution Engineering and Implementation at NeXT and Apple.
Dave holds an MA in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He writes and speaks regularly on ecommerce connectivity, composable commerce, post-checkout operations, and the AI-native future of order operations.
