Gloss Ventures is a digitally native brand incubator specializing in the launch and scale of disruptive consumer brands in the beauty and wellness space. Founded in 2020, the Los Angeles-based company leverages influencer-led, social-first strategies to create culturally resonant brands that move at the speed of the internet.
With an agile, omnichannel approach, Gloss Ventures brings products to market quickly and sells across direct-to-consumer, retail and marketplaces including Amazon, TikTok Shop and Faire. By providing strategic leadership, operational infrastructure and financial support, the company was able to leverage the early success of it’s first brand, SACHEU Beauty. The brand went viral on TikTok after it launched in 2021 and has enjoyed consistent growth through global expansion.
The Challenge
Initially, Gloss Ventures relied on integration tools like FAR App and SPS Commerce. These tools worked fine when order volume was small and there was minimal channel complexity. However, as orders and the number of channels increased, they struggled to keep up with the businesses’ expanding and evolving omnichannel needs/requirements. The team discovered that customer support was subpar and every update or adjustment, regardless of size, required a costly change order. The result: limited scalability, high transaction costs and teams bogged down in low-value tasks.

One particularly frustrating challenge that their integration vendors were unable to solve involved international orders failing at the 3PL due to missing zip codes — common in countries like Israel and the UAE, where postal codes are not always used. These failures prevented shipping labels from being generated, blocking fulfillment for thousands of orders each month.
In addition, with 7,000-8,000 orders a day, concurrency costs became a major issue for the company. FAR App’s pricing model — based on API call volume — led to over 20 million monthly transactions for AMZN and SHOP stores alone. This drove up costs and maxed out NetSuite’s concurrency limits, which slowed operations and created processing bottlenecks.

The Solution
With Pipe17, SACHEU consolidated its multiple integration platforms into a single order operations platform. The team connected five TikTok storefronts (separate instances), two Amazon stores, three Shopify storefronts, its ERP (NetSuite) and 3PLs through Pipe17’s connector network. This enabled automated real-time data sync across their selling channels, fulfillment channels and back-office applications, eliminating manual uploads and streamlining error resolution. In addition, they began automating key workflows such as purchase orders, transfer orders and settlements — all of which used to require CSV uploads and manual data matching.

Working closely with Pipe17’s solution architects, the team was able to solve their zip code problem by implementing a simple but powerful automation: if an order came from a country without a postal code, Pipe17 would insert a default zip code (e.g., 00000) before routing the order to fulfillment by the 3PL. This automation permanently resolved the issue, eliminating the need for manual intervention and ensuring uninterrupted fulfillment.
